Brant Bjork has released no less than nine albums with either The Bros or The Operators over the last years. The ex-Kuyss and ex-Fu Manchu drummer was part of Kyuss Lives! and Vista Chino, which has led to successful tours and big festival appearances the past two years.
Now the time has come for him to fuse Desert Rock with his first big love: Punk Rock. His new band Low Desert Punk (which shares the name with BB´s record label) is Dave Dinsmore (Che, Bl’ast!) on bass, Bubba Dupree (Void, Hater) on guitar and Tony Tornay (Fatso Jetson, Chuck Dukowski) on drums.
Anyone into today´s true Rock´n Roll, already knows that this is the real deal (….baby!).
From seemingly endless, sometimes 50-minute jams developed structured
forms and a sophisticated songwriting. Torso was born.
In its relatively short existence, the young band already shared the
stage with famous groups such as Pentagram, Siena Root, Karma to Burn, The Flying Eyes, Monkey 3, Blues Pills, The: Egocentrics, Golden Void, Mars Red Sky, Glowsun, Umor, Danava or Saviours.
The result of the many sweaty hours in the rehearsal room released in
May 2012 in a first EP called (“Inside”) on “Stone Free Records” found
precipitation and entered TORSO transnational respect in relevant
magazines, radio stations and musicblogs.
Look out for their debut album, scheduled to be released in early 2015.
