21.4. DOUBLE FEATURE VOL 2: PENTAGRAM / GRAVEYARD / IN SOLITUDE / SOURVEIN

Before the name was even coined, legendary D.C. outfit Pentagram was helping to invent the beast called heavy metal. For forty (!) years the band has remained true to its macabre art. This unwavering dedication has influenced scores of renowned musicians some three decades on, and the legacy grows stronger every year.

On April 12th the new album “Last Rites” will be released. Something that fans have been clamoring for since the last Liebling / Griffin masterpiece was released in 1994 (“Be Forewarned”).

Gothenburg´s Graveyard resurrects the sounds of 70’s psychedelic rock. The clash of folk, psychedelic, and blues makes for a mind-bending trip back to the days of Cream, Sabbath, and Blue Cheer. The band proves they have what it takes to hang with the classics while delivering a sound that is all their own.

Their brand new Album “Hisingen Blues” is a totally analogue recorded and mixed production that skillfully combines a 70’s vibe with a more powerful modern sound.
The world can expect nothing less than a true masterpiece of rock music.

In Solitude, hailing from the metal hotbed Uppsala, Sweden defy all genres and limitations. Time stopped for them, when heavy-  and black-metal were considered one and the same.

US-Sludge-masters Sourvein celebrate bombastic stoner doom. Earthquake low end frequencies, strangled desperate vocals and monstrous, battering drums.
